Jennifer Aniston nabbed her first nontelevision Golden Globes nomination this year for her role in Cake, but that's not enough. Jen wants to leave her rom-com persona behind and take on more serious film roles so she can be nominated again during 2016's awards season!

"Jen narrowly missed out on an Oscar nomination for Cake, so she’s desperate to land the lead in another drama," a source tells OK! of the film that Jen starred in and executive produced. Only problem? She's not exactly getting a ton of offers.

Perhaps stemming off her role as Rachel Green in Friends, which she played for ten years, Jennifer has mostly starred in comedic films and romantic movies, and Cake was her first "serious" role that garnered a ton of critics' attention.
