Jenni “JWoww” Farley referred to Roger Mathews as her “biggest” regret while discussing their divorce on the October 31 episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Although they’ve started to successfully co-parent, Roger was adamant after the episode aired that they have “no chance of reconciliation” in a romantic sense. The couple went through a nasty split in September 2018 before their divorce was finalized in August.

“You don’t spend almost a decade of your life with only one person then just never care about them again. You can act like you do but you’re probably lying,” Roger told Us Weekly in a statement on November 1. “Hatred spawns from love.”

JWoww opened up about how she felt during their divorce in a chat with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. “We were talking about regrets earlier — I’ve been thinking about the biggest one,” she said before admitting she was talking about Roger.

“I’m going through it with the divorce. It’s been almost a year since I filed,” the mom-of-two continued. “When you get divorced, you’re supposed to be celebrating and start a new chapter, but it’s really heartbreaking. And it’s stressful, the up and down battle of figuring out custody issues. I just don’t know when it gets better.”

Roger and JWoww share 5-year-old daughter Meilani and 3-year-old son Greyson. At the time of their split, the two accused each other of abuse and got nasty on social media. They’ve since apologized and gotten together for the sake of their children.

“Part of me, mostly the father in me that had two kids with Jenni, will always love the mother in her,” Roger told Us. “It’s true we differ greatly in our parenting methods but we must now respect how each other parents in our own time with our children.”

“Hey, The Rock and his ex-wife are the best of friends. There’s hope. I could easily be Jenni's friend, as there is no chance of reconciliation for us, and I hope we continue to co-parent in a positive environment for our children,” he said in regard to their rough patch. “People break up. It happens. Kids only get to enjoy their childhood once and I have no intentions of dampening that in any way.”

JWoww has since moved on with 24-year-old Zack Carpinello. The two briefly split in October after an episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation aired which showed the wrestler flirting with Angelina Pivarnick. They got back together less than two weeks later and were spotted hanging out at Universal Studios in Florida.
