It’s been nearly three weeks since Jill and Derick Dillard welcomed their second son, Samuel Scott, into the world. While the usually public and social media enthusiast Jill would have shared multiple baby update videos and pics with her bundle of joy in hand (it’s the norm for all Duggar girls after giving birth), the mom-of-two has been surprisingly silent about the birth of her son, which has led Duggar fans to worry about Jill’s health, following her second C-section.
“Are you okay Jill?” one fan commented on the only picture the Dillards have shared of Jill holding her son. “I haven't seen many pictures of you, Israel and Derrick since the birth and it looks like you are still in the hospital. Samuel was a big boy and I know your labor was long so I just really want to know if you are okay.”
Another follower noted her somewhat different appearance, commenting, “Jill looks very pale. Forty hours is a long time for labor. Why did they let it last so long? She is exhausted.”
While Jill’s sister, Jessa, shared a video, updating Duggar fans on Samuel’s birth, days after his arrival fans have continued to share their concern for Jill.
“Jill I am worried about you & little Sam, I hope you are both ok, praying for you & love you..,” wrote another fan on Jill’s Instagram.

Fans also realized that Jill’s mother-in-law, Cathy Dillard, had been watching Israel, Jill and Derick’s oldest son, for nearly two weeks after Samuel’s birthday, which also led to speculation about Jill’s post-baby health. However, in a recent tweet, Cathy said she “didn’t want to take Israel back but did finally” because she wanted to have Jill and Derick “get settled in first.”
While Jill has yet to share another picture of her holding baby Samuel, she did post a "Happy Birthday" post to her father, Jim Bob, for his 52nd birthday, last week.
