Derick Dillard has a law school final today, and he spent his Sunday studying with his wife Jill Duggar by his side — very, very close by his side. In a photo uploaded to Instagram, Jill showed herself practically sitting on her husband’s lap as he reviewed his notes. Fans felt the pic was too close for comfort and slammed Jill for being a “barnacle clamped” to her husband’s side.

On Sunday, Jill posted this photo of her and Derick attached at the hip as he studied. “Spending time with my hubby while he studies for #contactsfinal tomorrow,” Jill captioned the pic.
Jill also posted a photo of the couple’s study snack: jelly beans.

Fans found the study sesh pics less than appetizing. “Can you two do anything separately? It’s ok for a married couple to have different interests and spend time apart. It’s healthy,” one follower wrote. Another agreed, “You have a very unhealthy need to be physically attached all the time.”
Others accused Jill of not respecting her husband’s studies. “Hope he liked the class. Bodes well if he needs to take it again, because it’s hard to study with your wife glued to your side,” a followed slammed, while others called Jill a “barnacle…clamped to his side” and “very needy.”
This isn’t the first time fans have blasted Jill for hanging onto her husband. The Counting On star previously attended one of Derick’s law school classes and even admitted she requests to be sat next to him — not across from him — at restaurants. Followers have even accused the couple of packing on the PDA as part of an act to make their marriage look more ideal than it really may be.
