Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are doing damage control! After their son-in-low Derick Dillard was kicked off Counting On for his transphobic tweets, the parents of 19 confronted him over his behavior, RadarOnline.com reported.

“Everything that Derick has said has caused the family bad press,” the source told the site, referring to Derick’s tweets slamming TLC and Jazz Jennings, the transgender star of the network’s show I Am Jazz. “‘Transgender’ is a myth,” Derick once tweeted.

Derick’s comments regarding the teenager were so controversial that TLC fired him from his wife Jill Duggar’s show Counting On in November 2017.  That didn’t stop him from continuing to share his opinions.

The disgraced TV star took to Twitter again in April to slam TLC star Nate Berkus, calling him, his husband Jeremiah Brent, and their daughter “a travesty of a family.”

But it’s not just TLC and former fans who couldn’t accept Derick’s remarks. According to the insider, Jim Bob and Michelle — along with the rest of the family — are “pissed off” at Derick, and decided to confront him about his behavior.

“They don’t like what he is doing,” the insider said, adding that the parents aren’t a fan of “what he says and how he says it.”
