John David Duggar’s wife Abbie celebrated her 27th birthday on Tuesday, April 16, but fans wouldn’t have known it! The Counting On newlywed failed to call attention to his wife’s big day on social media — even though Abbie wrote a gushing post for John’s birthday back in January. Meanwhile, John’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle, and even his sister-in-law Lauren, made sure to wish Abbie well on their social media accounts! In January, Abbie honored John’s birthday by sharing two photos of him from their November wedding on Instagram.
“Happy birthday to my sweetheart!!! He is such a tender, kind, thoughtful, sweet husband to me, and I am so grateful for his constant companionship!” she said at the time.
However, on the day of Abbie’s birthday, John didn’t do the same for her.
Despite John’s massive husband fail, his parents managed to wish Abbie a happy birthday, not once but twice! The family tweeted, “Happy birthday Abbie! What a wonderful addition to the family you are! We are so thankful for you! John has truly met his soulmate in you. We hope you have a wonderful birthday and a blessed year!”
Michelle and Jim Bob then shared photos on their Facebook page and wrote, “You are a true ‘glitter girl’ and you’ve added so much sparkle to all of our lives! We hope you have a wonderful birthday and a blessed year!”
Even John’s sister-in-law Lauren gave Abbie a shout out on her Instagram story. She shared a pic with Abbie and John David, as well as her husband Josiah, and Joseph and Kendra Duggar, and wished her a happy birthday.
Even though John made a major misstep, it might be forgivable. The Counting On star didn’t even get an Instagram until he and Abbie began courting, so he’s always been on the private side.
