John Stamos didn't become a dad until he was 54 years old, but that doesn't mean he's not a natural. The hands-on father recently broke into tears when asked about his 6-month-old son William "Billy" Christopher on Live with Kelly and Ryan. His wife, actress Caitlin McHugh, gave birth in April, and the actor's had to be away from his son for work. Read on to see why the former Full House star got so emotional.
"I miss him," John, 55, said through tears on the daytime talk show. "This is the longest I've been away from him."
"John!" host Kelly Ripa said with surprise. "I'm sorry!"
"I’ve been waiting my whole life for fatherhood," he said, laughing as Kelly handed him some tissues. "I’m so happy, I’m so happy."

John then asked Kelly, 48, about her three children, Michael, 21, Lola, 17, and Joaquin, 15. "I cry for different reasons," the host joked.
John's been obsessed with all things fatherhood, even the "little butt spatula" he uses to apply diaper cream on Billy. While he's been criticized online for holding his baby the "wrong" way, the star's not letting the haters bring down his dad game.
