Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel took their relationship to the next level during a Dancing With The Stars taping on Monday, September 30. The new couple was reportedly seen sneaking a few kisses while they sat in the audience.
Jonathan, 41, and Zooey, 39, had the best view in the house when they sat in the front row. They were spotted smooching and putting their arms around each other throughout the night.
The pair sat behind host Tom Bergeron as they watched the ABC dancing competition series. The New Girl star wore a floral blouse while the Property Brothers personality donned a button-down shirt and blue jacket. Jonathan previously competed on Season 25 of the dance show with Emma Slater.
The HGTV star and the She & Him singer started dating earlier this summer after meeting on the set of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.
On September 13, Zooey and Jonathan stepped out together in Silver Lake, California, for a lunch date.
The Canadian native confirmed to Us Weekly that same day that he was in fact dating someone new, but refused to share the identity of his new ladylove. “I am seeing someone,” he said. “I’m a very private person, so I don’t typically talk about that. It’s definitely special for me because I am the guy who raises the bar in what I’m looking for in a partner. I was caught a little off guard. It was definitely a pleasant surprise.”
Zooey announced her split from husband Jacob Pechenik just a week before news of her new relationship went public. The exes broke up after four years of marriage. Zooey and her producer ex-husband share daughter Elsie, 4, and son Charlie, 2. The 500 Days of Summer actress was also previously married to musician Ben Gibbard, lead vocalist for Death Cab for Cutie.
Zooey and Jake released a statement following their breakup. "After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners," their statement read. "We remain committed to our business, our values and most of all our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time."
