Josh Duggar is gearing up for yet another legal battle. According to RadarONLINE, in a last-ditch effort to salvage his reputation, the former reality star filed a new lawsuit against Arkansas officials alleging they illegally released documents surrounding the investigation into his alleged sexual molestation of four of his sisters and a babysitter when he was a teen.

According to court documents, obtained by Radar, Josh filed the lawsuit against the city of Springdale and Washington County in Arkansas on March 9th. Josh claims he suffered “severe emotional distress, mental anguish and substantial loss of income” due to the release of the documents about his molestation.

While Josh filed a similar lawsuit last year, it was ultimately thrown out. In Josh’s new suit he claims Arkansas officials went against policy. “The facts included in said investigation records were not a matter of public records, and, in fact, were protected from disclosure by Arkansas state law,” the lawsuit states.

As OK! readers’ know, following the release of the investigation records, Josh lost his job in Washington D.C., and the Duggar family’s show, which he starred in, 19 & Counting, was canceled.

The disgraced reality star also claims city and county officials “failed to train” officers, police department employees, and deputies on the policies and laws of releasing juvenile records. Josh additionally blames the city and its county officials for the public’s response to the news of his inappropriate behavior, claiming “any reasonable person” would feel “seriously offended and aggrieved by the intensely negative publicity as a result of the illegal release.”

While the lawsuit does not state the amount of damages he is seeking, it states the sum will be determined at trial.
