Kaitlynn Carter has no ill will towards her ex. On Friday, January 10, the Hills: New Beginnings star, 31 revealed on her social media that she hung out with her ex, Brody Jenner and his mother Linda Thompson.
The reality star shared a black-and-white video of Brody, 36, drinking from a cup while the two spent time together. “@brodyjenner single and chic!!” Kaitlyn captioned the clip as Brody could be seen jokingly giving her the middle finger.
Later that same day, Kaitlynn posted a picture of her with Brody’s mom, Linda, 69, and her friend Alexandra Amodio on Instagram. The group was seemingly enjoying dinner at Nobu Malibu together during a staycation in the California city. Kaitlyn captioned the sweet snap of the ladies, “Feelin’ super lucky to be part of this modern fam.” Brody, however, did not appear to be in attendance.
Kailynn and Brody announced their split on Friday, August 2, which came a little over a year after their intimate Indonesian wedding. At that time, a rep for Kaitlynn and Brody told People that the two had “decided to amicably separate.” The insider added that they “love and respect one another and know that this is the best decision for their relationship moving forward.” The insider also noted that the pair had been having “issues for years” and that shooting The Hills reboot was “not good for them.”

In November 2019, Kaitlynn defended her brief marriage in a first-person essay written for Elle, calling their relationship “very real” despite it not being legally binding.
“The legitimacy of that marriage has become a matter of public debate, but for he and I, it was very real,” she wrote. “He was quite possibly the most beautiful man on the planet, with a heart of gold and a tireless sense of adventure. I was drawn to his spirit.”
Kaitlynn continued, “He became my best friend, and together we had all the fun the world had to offer. Eventually though, after years of constant ‘excitement,’ we found we’d done as much growing apart as we’d done growing up. I began to spend a lot of time traveling on my own or with friends, quietly mourning what I knew in my heart would soon be the end of my marriage.”
After their split, Kaitlynn had a summer romance with Miley Cyrus following their splits from their respective husbands Brody and Liam Hemsworth. While Brody dated model Josie Canseco for three months.
