Katharine McPhee and David Foster look refreshed after their romantic vacation in the Maldives. The newlyweds got dinner out in Los Angeles on October 8, and were all smiles as they held hands and strolled into the night. The couple got married over the summer surrounded by family and friends in England, and have been incredibly happy since they said, “I do.”
Katharine, 35, wore a black turtleneck sweater and a gray miniskirt adorned with buttons. The Broadway star completed this chic look with black open-toed heels, and wore a beige over-the-shoulder bag. David, 69, kept things casual with a white button-down shirt tucked into a pair of jeans. The musician rocked black sneakers and a jacket.
The couple went to the Maldives for a change of scenery earlier this month. While away, they rode bikes and soaked in the sun. They even made a stop in Singapore while overseas together.
The Waitress star revealed how much she enjoys her new status as “Mrs. Foster” in August. She even gushed over how much she loved getting introduced by her married name for the first time since she and David tied the knot.
“We’ve been away since we’ve been married, so not yet, but I love it,” the singer revealed, regarding what it’s been like adjusting to her new last name. “I just love the ring of it, so I’m enjoying it.”
The songwriter continued, “I’m a romantic, I’ve always loved the idea of taking his last name. It’s sort of a traditional thing that still exists in our society, but some people don’t take their spouse’s last name anymore, so, I like the idea of it. I think it’s romantic and it’s a great last name.”
Katherine also revealed that her favorite part of married life is spending time with her husband. “There’s not arguing, no drama,” she shared. “It’s just easy, that’s how it should be."
David and Katharine met in 2006 during season 5 of American Idol. David was her mentor in the show. They sparked romance rumors in 2017 and got engaged the following year.
