The most important award at the MTV VMAs is undoubtedly the Video of the Year. This year, the nominations went to DJ Khaled for Wild Thoughts, Bruno Mars for 24k Magic, Kendrick Lamar for Humble, The Weeknd for Reminder, and Alessia Cara for Scars To Your Beautiful. But Kendrick is the one that went home with the statue.
During his brief acceptance speech, Kendrick said, "Man, Glory to God every time for giving us these amazing talents...fans, I love y'all."

The rapper had quite a night, after opening the show with a medley of his many hits, including, "Be Humble" and "DNA." His set even included him literally performing in front of fire. Don't worry though, he was in a flame-resistance suit.
And while fellow nominee DJ Khaled may not have won the award, he's certainly had an incredible year, and even got to bring his cute son Asahd onstage during a segment with host Katy Perry. There was not one female in the audience who was not obsessed.
