Kim Kardashian took to Instagram on Monday, February 10 to debut her new "bronde" hair color. The reality star showed off her lighter tresses in an Instagram Story and bragged about beating sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner to the punch with her makeover.

"So Kylie and Khloe thought they were going to beat me to this hair color. I got 'em!" Kim said in the clip. It's unclear if Kim's transformation was due to the use of a wig, as she didn't indicate that she had dyed her natural hair.

Khloe recently expressed her desire to take her locks a few shades darker. "Loving this Bronde pony! Do I go back to Bronde??? Let me know. Bronde means blonde and brown mix for those who don’t know," the Revenge Body star captioned a throwback photo.

If the KKW Beauty founder did indeed dye her hair, it was quite the speedy process, as she attended an Oscars after-party on Sunday, February 9 rocking her signature raven black hue. Kim, husband Kanye West, and Kylie rubbed elbows with all the A-listers at the Vanity Fair bash, and at one point Kim was photographed having a flirtatious interaction with Oscar winner Brad Pitt! The exchange was strictly platonic though, as the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star is close pals with Kanye.

Kim is notoriously competitive with her siblings. In December 2019, a report claimed that Kim was allegedly paying a third party to increase her Instagram follower count in an effort to keep up with Kylie.

The LipKit mogul was crowned the highest paid star on Instagram on the 2019 Instagram Rich List. The list is compiled yearly by Hopper HQ, a company that analyzes data and metrics to determine how much a celebrity can charge for an individual post. Kylie was estimated to be able to charge up to $1,266,000 per post on average, whereas Kim came in fourth and could command an estimated $910,000 per post. Kylie currently has 162 million followers, while Kim has 159 million followers.

Kim confirmed her desire to surpass Kylie's follower count when they filmed a YouTube makeup tutorial together in January. During the session, Kylie accidentally pulled out one of Kim's fake eyelashes and told her to make a wish. "I just wished I would beat you in Instagram again," Kim admitted.
