High-Risk Pregnancy! Kim Kardashian ‘Scared’ Of Her Second Delivery

Kim Kardashian has been very open during her pregnancy. She has let us know about her crazy cravings, maternity style choices, and now the media mogul got frank about her delivery worries.

She wrote on her site about her condition with daughter North, which has made her so anxious about a second delivery. “I had a condition called preeclampsia,” she explained, which is a serious condition with three main symptoms: high blood pressure, swelling of hands and feet, and protein in urine.

“Right after delivery, the placenta usually then comes out. Mine did not. My placenta stayed attached inside my uterus, which is a condition called placenta accrete. This is a high-risk condition that happens when the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall,” she wrote.

Kim, 35, explained that women used to die in childbirth from this kind of complication. She was thankful to her doctor for catching the condition and reacting so quickly.

The wife of Kanye West continued, “I still had a piece of placenta attached inside of me and I had to have surgery to remove it. Then I had another surgery to remove the scar tissue. This was all preventing me from getting pregnant the second time around.”
