Kim Kardashian’s no dancing rule has one exception. On February 17, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star broke her strict stipulation to create a cute TikTok video with her daughter, North.
Kim, 39, shared the video on her Instagram account for her 160M followers. She simply captioned the clip “Tik Tok.” Kim wore a black tank top and leggings, and north rocked a beige outfit. The pair danced and made faces for the camera, and put their hands together to form a heart at one point.
Fans loved the mother-daughter collaboration. “OMG WE NEED NORTH’S ACCOUNT” one user commented on the video. “Best mommy ever,” another chimed in. “Aw and Kimmy doesn’t even dance!” a third said, referring to the reality star’s strict “no dancing” rule.
Kim previously competed on Dancing With The Stars in 2008, and she told her dance partner Mark Ballas that she felt like “an idiot” while on the show, according to Entertainment Tonight. The dance partners were the third to get eliminated, and the experience appeared to scar her for life.
Three years later, Kim’s husband Kanye West went on tour with Jay Z. The reality star said she was scared that Beyoncé would want to bust a move with her. "My biggest fear was during Watch the Throne that if I sit next to Beyoncé, she dances and she's up, like, you know. So, the last night of the tour, she came to dressing room and was like, 'Hey, do you want to sit together?'" Kim recalled. "Then, she wanted to go in the mosh pit and I was like, 'What do we do in the mosh pit?' She's like, 'Dance! Just let loose. Just dance!' And I was like, 'My life is over!'"
Kim also maintained her “no dancing” rule around her sister. During a September 2018 episode of KUWTK, Kourtney tries to convince Kim to get out of her comfort zone. “I’m like, a notorious non-dancer,” Kim insisted. “It’s a thing. So let me see what you guys are doing.”
When Kourtney, 40, along with the dance instructor, Larsa Pippen, and Malika Haqq tried to walk the KKW beauty mogul through the steps of the routine, Kim wouldn’t budge. “Oh yeah, no,” Kim said with a laugh. “I don’t dance. I can’t, you guys. I can be a stage mom! You need to get more into it.”
Although Kourtney complained that her sister had an "inability to let loose,” Kim saw things differently. “I just don't dance,” Kim quipped. “I make money moves."
