Things got awkward between Kim and Kourtney Kardashian on the People’s Choice Awards red carpet. The Keeping Up With The Kardashian stars experienced the cringeworthy moment during an interview with Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner. When Giuliana Rancic asked the reality stars what they wore for the big night, Kim, 39, interrupted Kourtney, 40, and the atmosphere quickly got tense.

Giuliana, 45, asked the reality stars what they wore to the People’s Choice Awards, starting with the oldest sister. “I didn’t plan this — Naeem Khan? Is that how you say it?” Kourtney asked. Kim cut her sister off and gushed, “All that matters is that we’re wearing KKW Diamonds! That’s all that — we’re all wearing that.”
As the interview continued, Kim attempted to explain why she interrupted the Poosh founder. “I’m saving you because you didn’t know what you were wearing,” the mother-of-four insisted. “That was my save.” However, Kourtney played it cool, and responded, “No, it’s Naeem Khan, I just didn’t know how to pronounce it.”
Fans reacted to Kim and Kourtney’s tense exchange during the red carpet interview. “Kim always shading unproblematic Kourt. Never give Khloe that same energy,” one person wrote. “Kim always on nobody but Kourtney,” another chimed in. “Kim always makes it about herself all the time,” a third said.
Other fans credited sibling rivalry as the reason for Kim’s interjection. “Kim HATES Kourt and it’s always been that way. For some reason she finds real pleasure in cussing Kourt tf out and making her look stupid in front of others,” one person commented. “She’s so jealous over Kourtney lol it’s ridiculous,” another wrote.
Tensions appear to be higher than usual between the Kardashian sisters, as the Poosh founder recently revealed that she plans on stepping back from Keeping Up With The Kardashians. “I just decided to spend more time as a mom and put more of my energy there,” she told ET on November 7. She clarified, “But I’m not saying goodbye.”
This isn’t the first time she mentioned leaving KUWTK.
