K. Michelle has revealed some juicy tidbits about her past relationship with Idris Elba. In a no-holds-barred interview with Hollywood Unlocked, the singer is opening up about her romance with the actor and her thoughts on his engagement to Sabrina Dhowre. Keep reading for all the dirty deets.
The two met each other at the 2013 Soul Train Awards right after she won the award for Best New Artist. They connected after he complimented her beauty and dedicated a song to her at an afterparty. They exchanged numbers after the night was through.
“He told me, he would never be committed to one woman,” the "Love Them All" singer said. “He said I would be taken care of, I would be fine but he would never commit to one woman.”
The Love And Hip-Hop: Atlanta star added, “That wasn’t supposed to be my man. Out of every relationship I’ve been in or men I’ve dated, I learned the most from him. It wasn’t volatile or angry. He didn’t bring out me cursing him out. He was a gentleman…and gave amazing head, I remember that.” She also believes that “Men are different with different women.”
Idris had never confirmed his relationship with the Tennessee native.
Idris and Sabrina met in early 2017 at one of his film screenings and got engaged in February 2018. K. is also in a happy relationship with Dr. Kastan Sims five years later.
