2016 isn’t starting off on a good note for Kristin Cavallari. After losing her brother Michael late last year, the former Hills star is recovering from a car accident last week that left her with an injury so bad, she can’t even hold her newborn daughter.
“Dislocated my elbow last Thursday and not being able to hold my baby is absolutely killing me,” Kristen, 29, tweeted of her daughter Saylor James.
The reality star was rushed to a Chicago hospital after a motorist hit her car. “After everything that has happened lately, the accident really shook her up,” a source told People. “She’s just thankful that she didn’t get hurt.”

Kristen welcomed her daughter with NHL player Jay Cutler in November. The mother-of-three’s brother was found dead on December 10 after he was reported missing the day after Thanksgiving.
“2015 brought my sweet baby girl but it also took my brother’s life,” Kristen wrote on Instagram for New Year’s. “Hoping for no extreme highs and lows this year.”
