Lala Kent Celebrates 1 Year Of Sobriety — 'I Will Fight For It & Won't Give It Up For Anything'

Lala Kent celebrated a very momentous occasion on October 22. The Vanderpump Rules star announced she's officially one year sober with an emotional Instagram post.

Lala, 29, reflected on her year and revealed she passed the 12-month mark on Tuesday. Alongside a close up photo of her face, the reality star wrote a lengthy caption describing her journey.

"Today, I am one year sober. This is the biggest accomplishment I’ve ever had in my life and the one I am most proud of. The moments I have had in the past year have been a blessing that I have been present for," she scribed.  "I didn’t have that before. Today, I will celebrate my one year birthday because it’s exciting. It is also humbling. Because today, and every day after that, I will fight for it. But I won't give it up for anything ♥️."

This past April, Lala admitted she was six months sober and shared a heartfelt message on Instagram to mark the important milestone. "It’s been a couple of days full of milestones. Yesterday we got to celebrate Easter and the life of my sweet dad. Today, I celebrate six months of sobriety. I know I talk about this often, but y’all... I still cant believe it," she wrote.

Lala continued, "I feel the need to share my story because I know I’m not the only one out there suffering from this. It’s not an easy path I’ve chosen, but I chose it because it was between one thing, and my life. I take it one day at a time. I celebrate each day that I go through in a clear state of mind, & the next day I wake up with the same goal: stay clear."

The Give Them Lala CEO confessed she was an alcoholic in March. She admitted she had been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings to help her through on social media.

"Five months ago, I came to the realization that I am an alcoholic. I am now a friend of Bill Wilson, which you will never know how much this program means to me, has given me new life," she said. Bill is the late AA co-founder who created his famous 12 Step Program.
