PHOTOS'Law & Order: SVU' Stars Mariska Hargitay & Chris Meloni Reunite — 'Time Well Spent'

Law & Order: SVU fans rejoice! On Sunday, March 31, former co-stars and on-screen partners Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni reunited and the pair shared sweet pictures of their time together on Instagram.

In a slideshow posted to Mariska’s account, the two were cuddled in close and all smiles. Chris, 57, and Mariska, 55, starred together on the long-running NBC series from 1999 to 2011. He departed after season 12.
“Every picture tells a story #timewellspent,” Mariska wrote in the caption.
Happy fans quickly flooded her comments section to express their excitement. “CHRISKA BREAKS THE INTERNET,” one person wrote, using a portmanteau of the actors’ names.
Another user acknowledged that Mariska and the rest of her castmates have a lot to celebrate. “What a great weekend,” the person wrote. “First it starts off with SVU getting renewed on Friday, and then we finish the weekend off with a #chriska reunion on Sunday.
The show’s renewal at the end of last month officially made it the longest running live-action primetime series in television history.
“I’m deeply proud to be a part of this groundbreaking show, and humbled to make television history today,” Mariska said in a statement. “The longevity and continued success of SVU is a testament not only to the show’s powerful storytelling and ability to connect with viewers, but to its necessity. We have told important stories for 20 years, and we will continue to tell them.”
