It seems like Miley Cyrus may have decided to end her marriage all on her own. About a month after the singer's rep announced her split to her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, a source claimed that he was completely "blindsided" and found out about their breakup on social media!

"Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers," the rep added. "They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."
The statement came as a surprise to many — including Liam! At the time, Miley was on vacation with her older sister Brandi Cyrus and now rumored girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter.
The Isn't It Romantic actor was attempting to keep a low profile in his native Australia with his family and reportedly had no idea the announcement was going to be released.
Not long after news of their split broke, Liam took to social media to release his own statement. "Hi all, just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward," he wrote via Instagram on August 12.
"This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false," he added. "Peace and Love."
Since then, Liam has filed for divorce and the "Wrecking Ball" singer has been spending quite a bit of time with Kaitlynn, 31 — who also recently ended her marriage to reality TV star Brody Jenner. Miley has allegedly not yet returned her $250,000 engagement ring to Liam.
As OK! readers know, the former couple met in 2009 while filming a Nicholas Sparks adapted film, The Last Song. The pair dated on and off for a decade before getting married during an intimate ceremony with their closest friends and family in Tennessee on December 23, 2018.
