Luann De Lesseps Says Learning About Ex's Lawsuit Drove Her To Booze Binge: 'I Lost It'

The lawsuit claimed that she has failed to follow through on the terms of their divorce deal, which was settled back in 2009. The Count alleged that Luann was supposed to create a trust for her $3.1 million Hamptons beach house and would give her son and daughter half. He reportedly asked the court to declare her in breach of the divorce, and requested an injunction to block the sale of it. However, Luann has yet to create said trust and allegedly threatened to sell the house and use the money to buy herself a home in upstate New York. If she followed through with selling the home, Noel and Victoria would receive no money.

She initially found out about the lawsuit in the most interesting way. "First of all, I found out about this whole story.... in the press. So, that was devastating. I felt betrayed," she told Megyn. 

"I felt so hurt by that because I really just wanted to move on," she continued. "I really wanted to flip this out and get the other one. Done deal. You take this and I get that. It was a good trade. And so I had my heart set on that house, my heart. I saw Billy Stritch practicing with my piano for my cabaret show. We’re talking about that, so I saw the baby grand in the living room. I was already living there. I was like, 'where is the tennis court going to go? What kind of gate am I going to get?' I was in it."

This drama is what caused Luann to drink again. "I was devastated, so I lost it," she confessed. "I had a girlfriend with me and she goes, 'I love making watermelon martinis.' I said, ‘I’m in.’ I used to drink those at Bungalow 8 years ago. I had two or three of those. Then I had I think two bottles of Rose by myself, and then probably a six pack of beer or something. I can’t have one drink. I was still dancing in my kitchen with a bikini on and a Panama hat."
