It was just last year when 460-lb “Mama June” Shannon famously had gastric sleeve surgery to shed some weight. The 'Honey Boo Boo' star's stunning transformation down to a size four inspired her hit series, Mama June: From Not to Hot. But now the 38-year-old has tipped the scale once again—much to her own shock! Read on for more.
Back in early 2017, Mama June decided to take control of her weight by dropping a whopping 300 pounds after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery. She also enhanced her look with cosmetic procedures that gave her a whole new appearance.
But flash forward to present day, as indicated in the season 2 trailer for the reality series, and the mom of four (to Alana, 12, Anna, 23, Jessica, 21, and Lauryn, 18) looks like she’s back to her old habits that catapulted her weight.
In the clip, she’s shown snacking on unhealthy foods like cheesesteak subs and Doritos. It’s particularly concerning for June because she and Alana were getting ready to be in a mother-daughter beauty pageant.

Struggling to fit inside her dress (“suck in the butt,” she said in the video), June finally admitted, “I’ve gained a few pounds.” How much, though? Well, her friend (who was helping her get into the dress) said, “You need, like a size 12! You were a 4!”
In the next scene, Mama June was shown meeting with a fitness expert who is determined to whip her back into shape for the big event. Will she be able to transform in time? You’ll have to watch the series to find out.
