Scary times for pop star Mariah Carey! It was just reported that her mansion in Los Angeles was burglarized over night, where the thieves made off with $50,000 worth of items. What possessions did these awful crooks get away with?
Law enforcement sources say that the thieves broke into Mariah’s home around 3:00 AM on Thursday. Evidently they got in through a window or door on an upper floor… a ladder was found in her backyard.
Shockingly enough, the crooks didn’t take any of Mariah’s expensive jewelry. They made off with $50,000 worth of purses and sunglasses. Maybe they were in too much of a rush and grabbed what they could.
Mariah has pretty expensive taste, so it looks like they got off with probably ten items or less.
Luckily, the “Obsessed” singer wasn’t home when this incident took place as she’s currently in New York City. The burglars did trigger the silent alarm, although her security team didn’t notice until 6 or 7 in the morning.
Mariah joins a bunch of other celebrities whose homes have been burglarized, including Scott Disick, Alanis Morissette, Jason Derulo, David Spade and Emmy Rossum.
Cops are currently investigating the incident at Mariah’s home. Here’s hoping there are no further issues for her in the future!
