Melissa McCarthy was once just a small town girl who moved from her family's farm in Illinois to the big city of Manhattan with only $35 in her back pocket. Now she's tops Hollywood's long list of mega A-listers and is one of the highest paid actresses in show biz. She spoke to OK! and held nothing back on marriage struggles, money problems and more.
The 48-year-old barely had any cash to her now-illustrious name when she first started out in the business 20 years ago.
Melissa attributes her success to her parents, whom she revealed "didn’t give her guilt."
But it wasn't just all rainbows and sunshine when the Bridesmaids actress received starring roles and big paychecks. She opened up about being criticized for her weight and how she "didn't appreciate" her body when she was younger.

"If somebody is being mean, they’re probably really not happy," the mother of two said of brushing off the haters.
Melissa has a great support system at home with her daughters, Vivian, 10, and Georgette 8,and her husband, Ben Falcone. Although the Tammy director and his wife have worked together on numerous occasions, there have been a few hurdles along the way.
