Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was finally released from the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution on Thursday, September 12, and boy does he look different! The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star was spotted leaving the prison with a new toned bod and some seriously jacked arms!

Lauren was close next to him and rocked a similar casual look. The New Jersey native wore a denim shirt, a black tank underneath, ripped jeans, black sunglasses and black sneakers.

Shortly after his release, Mike, 37, and his wife Lauren, 34, were seen pulling into a gas station in East Orange, NJ. Mike and Lauren stepped out of their vehicle to use the bathroom and then quickly went on their merry way home.

In October 2018, the reality TV personality pleaded guilty to failing to pay taxes on over $9 million in income and was sentenced to serve time in prison. He and Lauren married a month later before he went off to the slammer.

According to RadarOnline.com, Mike will be under supervision for 24 months and must complete 500 hours of community service.

The MTV star was sent to the upstate New York facility on January 15  to serve his eight-month prison sentence for tax evasion.

The Situation sported a gray shirt that read, “The comeback is always greater than the setback.” He also wore navy velvet pants, sunglasses and thick white sneakers.

The new look was quite a change from several months ago, before he entered jail.

The Situation was released from jail around 8:10 am and left the institution in a black tracksuit. Before leaving, he had to undergo a very lengthy and detailed discharge process. "Inmates are to be positively identified before their release by photo comparison and verbal questioning of the inmate. Verbal questioning will include name, date of birth, register number, questions pertaining to sentencing data, family background, information from the Pre-Sentencing Report and more," documents acquired by RadarOnline.com read.

Many of Mike's Jersey Shore castmates and family members have campaigned hard for his release since his sentencing. The phrase, "Free Sitch" has become the cause's central slogan. In August, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Cortese and Angelina Pivarnick traveled to Washington, D.C., in an attempt to meet with government officials to try to get Mike out of prison.
