Nearly two weeks after Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth announced their split, Miley is marking this new phase of her life with some fresh ink. The singer showed off her new post-breakup tattoo one day after the Hunger Games actor filed divorce papers.

The 26-year-old’s tattoo artist Doctor Woo took to Instagram to share a picture of her new ink. Miley got the biscione on her forearm.

“Cool old sculpture @mileycyrus found in Italy,” he wrote in the caption.

The biscione, also known as a vipera, depicts a snake eating a child. The artwork has been both the symbol of Milan and the emblem of the House of Visconti.
