Miley Cyrus is bringing in her birthday with her loved ones. The “Wrecking Ball” singer celebrated her 27th birthday on Saturday, November 23 with a very intimate party in Nashville, Tennessee.
Miley shared photos and several videos on Instagram of her and older sister Brandi surrounded by rose gold birthday balloons. In one photo, Miley could be seen blowing out candles on a pink cake.
The singer’s boyfriend, Cody Simpson was seen in one snap sitting next to the birthday girl. The Australian singer posted a video of Miley on his Instagram story on Saturday with the words “b’day angel” attached. Cody, 22, later posted a black-and-white mirror selfie video of the couple laughing together. “Happy Birthday baby,” Cody captioned the snap. “Thanks for being you.”
Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus shared a throwback snap of singer on the set of the music video for “Don’t Call Me Angel” in honor of Miley’s birthday. “Always and forever my angle … Happy Birthday, MCzzyyyy! I love you,” Tish captioned the post.
Other family members shared tribute posts of Miley including her sister and singer Noah Cyrus who posted a recent video of the two sisters as they showed off their dancing skills. “Happy Birthday sissy,” Noah, 19, wrote. “Love you SO MUCH!”
Miley is currently recovering after she recently underwent vocal cord surgery. The “Mother Daughter” singer was hospitalized in October 2019 for tonsillitis when she discovered a separate issue with her vocal cords that apparently had been going on for several years. Doctors told the singer that the recovery process would be lengthy and would include several weeks of silence. Miley was working on new music but had to put all projects on hold as a result.
Her boyfriend Cody was by her side during the process. On Friday, November 8, Cody shared a black-and-white photo of the couple with the caption, “success”, seemingly referencing the surgery.
According to sources close to the pair, while Miley has been recovering, the singer has been taking some time apart from Cody but the two are still doing well. “Miley and Cody have their separate lives,” the source said. “Cody had to stay in L.A. but has visited Miley in Tennessee. They have a very easy relationship. They see each other when they can, and when they are apart, things are good too. This works for both of them.”
