Miley Cyrus took one for the team and happily stepped in to represent her hubby, Liam Hemsworth, at the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie Isn't It Romantic on Monday, February 11. The actor was unable to attend due to a recent hospitalization for "health reasons." Scroll through to get all the details.
While Miley, 26, went solo to the Grammys on Sunday, February 10, because of Liam's unknown health scare, the singer did reveal that she intended to go to the premiere with him the next day. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like The Hunger Games alum was up for the occasion.
"So proud of my hunky hubby @Liamhemsworth and his newest movie #IsntItRomantic ❤️ He unfortunately wasn’t able to attend due to health reasons but he is recovering and taking this time to rest and heal," Miley said on Instagram.
"It’s hard for entertainers to put themselves before the project but this time it was crucial," she explained. "I am proud to represent him and his incredible work. So happy to see him shining in this comedy! He is the funniest person I know, and the world now gets to see the Liam I wake up to every day... I am the luckiest."
And while Miley may be a married woman now, she isn’t above making jokes about their sex life. "Getting sick blows. But so do I. Get well soon babe. I love you. Play that saxophone you sexy f**k," she wrote in another Instagram.
Liam, 29, also took to social media to apologize to his fans for his lack of presence at the premiere. "Sorry I couldn’t make it to the @isntitromantic premiere tonight guys. Been dealing with some pretty annoying health stuff the last couple days," he wrote on Instagram alongside a few shots of his stunning wife.
"Lucky I have the best girl in the world to represent for me! Thanks for the support babe! I hope everyone enjoys the movie! It’s a perfect Valentine’s Day flick so if you have nothing better to do then go see it! Love to all!"
Miley looked gorgeous in a stunning red Valentino sheer gown that featured tasteful ruffles, a cape, and a long train. The star kept her blonde locks pulled back into a sleek high ponytail and kept her makeup palette classy yet glamorous.
Isn't It Romantic debuts in US theaters just in time for Valentine's Day on Wednesday, February 13.
