PHOTOSNick Cannon Lands His Own Syndicated Daytime Talk Show For 2020
Nick Cannon just scored his next gig! The Wild 'n Out creator is set to host and produce his own nationally syndicated daytime talk show that will launch in 2020.
The 38-year-old will co-produce with Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury along with his production company, Ncredible Entertainment. The former America’s Got Talent host finished his stint filling in for Wendy Williams on her talk show earlier this year.
“We are excited to be able to announce this collaboration with Nick, who has proven himself to be such a dominant creative and entrepreneurial force across film, primetime TV, music, comedy, stage and online platforms,” said Debmar-Mercury Co-Presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said in a statement. “The daytime audience got to see that firsthand earlier this year with his stellar performance guest hosting The Wendy Williams Show. Now we can’t wait to see Nick put his own unique stamp on talk and add daytime to his impressive list of accomplishments.”
Nick released his own statement after the news announcement. “After leaving America’s Got Talent, I wanted to focus on developing my own talk show. I’ve always dreamed of a platform where I can speak to America and discuss pop culture, as well as the topics on everyone’s minds. When I had the opportunity to guest host at my good friend Wendy Williams’ show this year, I experienced the energy and excitement of a daytime talk show and instantly knew I found my audience," he continued.

Debmar-Mercury is also the production company behind the Wendy Williams Show, which has been renewed through 2022.
The father of three recently finished hosting season one of Fox's The Masked Singer. The show will be entering its second season on September 25. Aside from presenting on various reality competition shows, Nick launched his own radio show on Power 106, called Nick Cannon Mornings.
His new show has yet to be titled and will debut sometime next year. The show will be milestone for daytime television as he will be the only black male talk show host since the cancellation of Steve Harvey’s chat series.
