Drew Christensen, a Republican representative from Minnesota, claimed that he would draft a bill to ban Arie if his tweet got 1,000 likes. So what’s with all the extra animosity for the latest Bachelor suitor?

Turns out, the girl that Arie proposed to then rejected, Becca Kufrin, is a publicist from Minnesota (more specifically Prior Lake). Drew tweeted about the bill in the wake of this controversy.

The tweet, as of Wednesday afternoon, has received close to 12,000 retweets and 19,000 likes, so Drew got his wish. Some of his followers enjoyed his initiative to ban Arie, with one user saying "Okay Minnesota, I know we have many political sides, but we can ALL come together for this.”

His decision didn’t make everyone happy, with another asking why he isn’t focusing on the more important issues that affect his state and the country overall. "Your interest in the #bachelor is greater than protecting lives. Too bad you were not so quick to draft a gun control bill. #Reality vs #RealityTv.”

It looks as if Becca has another standing invitation in the future (on top of being the newest Bachelorette), as Drew might be taking her to Minnesota’s State of the State address! He asked for 10,000 retweets for it to happen. So far, he's on his way.

Do you think Drew has gone too far with his hatred of Arie, or is this all good fun? Sound off in the comments!
