Early Sunday morning, Omar Marteen entered Pulse nightclub at 2AM local time in Orlando, Florida and opened fire. The deadliest shooting in U.S history has left 49 people dead and 53 people injured. Since the devastating shooting occurred, FBI agents have been searching for answers from his family, ex-wife, friends, and even club goers.

Omar's ex-wife, Sitora Yusufiy, spoke about her marriage and described her ex in an interview outside her home. "He was mentally unstable and mentally ill, that's the only explanation I can give, he was obviously disturbed," she said. Sitora also revealed that he was abusive during their marriage. "He was totally two different people sometimes, and would turn and abuse me, out of nowhere, when I was sleeping,” she said according to the DailyMail.

As FBI agents continue to search the crime scene, the victims that have lost their lives are being identified and their families are being notified. According to reports, 49 victims have been killed and many are in the hospital with serious injuries.

It was reported that ISIS was not taking responsibility for Omar's actions at first, but praised him on multiple social media accounts. However, it has been reported that during the attack, he called 911 and pledged his allegiance to ISIS.

It has also been revealed that this isn't the first time that FBI agents are dealing with Omar. He was investigated back in 2013 as well as 2014 due to comments regarding a suicide bomber, but the FBI said he didn't appear to be a threat.

And despite being on the radar of FBI agents, Omar was still able to purchase the weapons he used in the attack on days before the shooting occurred.

In an interview with NBC News, Omar's previous co-worker Daniel Gilroy admitted that "he was scary in a concerning way." Daniel then told Florida Today, "This guy was unhinged and unstable. He talked of killing people."

Survivors have also been describing the fear they felt that night while trying to save their own lives, as well as helping others. Christopher Hansen told CNN that the shooting began when he was getting a drink at the bar. "I didn’t see any of the actual shooters. I just saw bodies going down. I fell down. I crawled out," he said in an interview.
