Sam Heughan couldn’t stop smiling in New York City on Tuesday, and his new girlfriend may be the reason! According to Us Weekly, the Outlander actor is dating an Irish actress — could it be his costar, Caitriona Balfe?!
While millions of Outlander fans would love for Sam and Caitriona to make like their characters Jamie and Claire and get together already, the lucky lady is another Irish beauty.
Insiders tell Us that Sam is dating Twin Peaks actress Amy Shiels. The two have been friends for over ten years, and were rumored to be dating in both 2014 and 2016.
While attending the premiere of his new film The Spy Who Dumped Me in L.A. on Wednesday, Amy was spotted supporting her rumored new man.
They were then seen together two days later at the Chateau Marmont, where they hung out at the “small, low-lit bar with drinks in hand” but didn’t show PDA, a source told Us.
Sam previously dated American actress MacKenzie Mauzy from November 2016 to March 2018. He and his costar Caitriona, who is now engaged to Tony McGill, have repeatedly shot down rumors that they’ve ever dated.
