Sam Smith rocked the house when he performed some of his hit songs at the Melbourne Cup Day at the Flemington Racecourse on Tuesday afternoon, November 6. He jetted off to Melbourne, Australia for the fun event and he got to see some horses in action. Keep reading to hear more.
Sam attended the sporty event looking as handsome and dapper as always. He posed while wearing a dark blue tailored suit, white button down and a gray and blue patterned tie.
The Aussie sports game is a truly lavish event where the "combination of sport, fashion, celebrity and entertainment" comes together. The day is meant for attendees to make bold fashion statements as they drink in the fabulous and exciting horse derby races.
The event had a bit of bad luck when it started to rain, but that didn't stop spectators from cheering on their fave horses. It also looks like rain had no effect on Sam belting out his tunes to the crowd.
The "Stay With Me" singer has been putting his voice to work nonstop as he just recorded the theme song to the Netflix animated series, Watership Down.
Sam also recently filmed his and Calvin Harris' "Promises" music video. In the 17-minute-plus music film, Sam and the cast open up about personal stories about who they are and where they've been.
