Pink got a buzzcut ahead of the New Year! The new hairstyle comes a few months after her daughter, Willow, shaved the side of her hair.
“Letting Go,” Pink, 40, captioned a photo on December 5 of her new buzzcut. The “Love Me Anyway” singer held her blonde locks in her hands in the picture.
Kate Hudson and Selma Blair, who have both shaved their heads in the past, praised the singer’s new hairstyle. “The most liberating,” Kate, 40, commented. The actress shaved her hair in 2017 for her role in the movie Sisters. Selma, 47, shaved her hair in July after she lost hair after treatments for multiple sclerosis. The Cruel Intentions star commented, “Twins.”
“Love it!!!!!!!!!” Pink’s husband Carey Hart wrote.
The couple’s 8-year-old daughter shaved one side of her head in September, inspired by Pink’s short hair. “Loving my punk rock daughter. Remember everyone, fly your own flag. There is no box to be put in. It’s better to be your own self. Own it, and love it. And if anyone has a problem with it, tell them (politely) to move on,” Carey captioned a photo of Willow’s haircut.
He added, “Can't wait to see the woman you grow up to be. I have a feeling you are gonna be strong, fierce, companionate, and caring. I’m so proud of you, Willow.”
Pink dedicated her speech at the MTV VMA’s in 2017 to Willow after her daughter told her, “I’m the ugliest girl I know” and “look like a boy with long hair.”
“When people make fun of me they say I look like a boy or I’m too masculine or I’m too outspoken. Do you see me growing my hair? Do you see me changing my body? Do you see me selling out arenas all over the world?” she told her daughter.
Pink added, “Baby girl, we don’t change. We take the gravel in the shell and make a pearl. We help other people to change, so they can see all kinds of beauty.”
