Cassie, 33, shared a video on August 27 of the Alex’s romantic proposal at a horse ranch in Compton, California. “My favorite day ever! #MrsFine ? 8.24,” she captioned the clip.
Alex, 26, shared the same video and wrote, “This moment will always be so special to me. I get to marry my best friend in the whole world. How am I so lucky!” The professional bull rider was assisted by the Compton Cowboy’s to pull off the proposal on August 24.
Although Cassie waited a few days to make the announcement, on the day of her engagement she reflected on her flourishing year since her split from Diddy. “This past year has been such a transformative year for me, I honestly can’t imagine what’s to come as I continue to become even more comfortable in my own skin,” she wrote.
She continued, “Living in truth. Living in health. Living in love. This year for me was about balance and taking my power back where I had given it away too freely.”
Alex and Cassie began dating in December 2018 after her nearly decade long relationship with Diddy. The couple later announced in June that they are expecting their first child together.
The “Me & U” singer finally shared the first photos of her baby bump on her 33rd birthday on August 26. “Love you two so soo much. Happy birthday baby,” her newly minted fiancé commented.
