The Duchess of Sussex was set to visit Suva market as part of a UN women’s initiative called Markets For Change. The project promotes women’s empowerment specifically in marketplaces throughout the South Pacific.

Originally Meghan was supposed to spend 20 minutes touring the market and meeting with female stall owners. However, after only 6 minutes, her security realized something was wrong.

The market was jam-packed and one aide described it as "hot, humid and uncomfortably busy."

As there were no means of real crowd control, the 37-year-old was quickly whisked away by her handlers.

However, the ever-gracious public figure showed no signs of nerves or anxiety. She remained calm and all smiles as she was moved to her next location. But the women who were set to meet her were disappointed they didn't get a chance to greet the former Suits actress.
