A blue and a pink Power Ranger fought to the almost-death to reveal the gender of Shay Mitchell's baby-to-be. The expectant mom shared her wild gender reveal on her YouTube channel.
Shay, 32, shared the video on Thursday, July 4, and titled it, “Do NOT Try This Gender Reveal at Home.” Her boyfriend Matte Babel stood right by her side during the reveal.
“Shay wanted to surprise Matte with a gender reveal that would keep him guessing, but it was a surprise for her too,” the description read below their video. “So they left it up to Shay’s assistant Liz to do the planning. They saw a lot of gender reveals that involved pink and blue cake and balloons, but thought a touch of drama would really set this one apart from the rest.”
The You star announced her pregnancy with a gorgeous maternity shoot on June 28. She tragically suffered a miscarriage in 2018.
In the video, the Pretty Little Liars actress said she believed that she would be having a boy. “I truly think that I’m having a boy because...just the retribution of having a girl,” she said. “My parents would just look at me and be like, ‘Karma, b***h.’ It’s a boy.”
Further into the clip, Shay and Matte sat outside a house to wait for the news. A Blue Power Ranger suddenly emerged from the door. A Pink Ranger appeared soon after and the two began to duke it out in a fight.
The Power Rangers fell into the nearby pool and continued to duel. “Power Rangers. Never in the history of gender reveals have I seen Power Rangers,” Shay laughed.
The pink Power Ranger's mask flew off in the water and she went to sit on Shay's lap. It was then revealed that the couple is having a girl!
