Barack Obama Dresses Up As Santa & Visits Children's Hospital

Barack Obama traded in his suit and tie for a Santa hat and brought joy to some kids in need. The former POTUS delivered a sack of toys to children being treated at Washington D.C.’ Children’s National Medical Center Wednesday. Keep reading for more details on the visit.

One particular patient started crying when he hugged her, and he then danced for the young girl.

The 44th President of the United States, whose wife Michelle was on her book tour, also sang Christmas carols like “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” with the doctors, nurses, hospital staff, children and their visitors.

The dad of two then addressed the crowd. “I just want to say thank you to all of you guys, we had a chance to talk to some of the wonderful kids and their families.”

He shared his appreciation for the day on Twitter. “Merry Christmas and happy holidays to the extraordinary kids, families, and staff at Children’s National. And thanks for humoring me as you stand-in Santa,” he wrote.
