Kensington Palace is inviting a lucky 1,200 members of the public to the biggest wedding of the year, but one pretty important person is not invited! They announced that President Trump won’t be able to see Prince Harry marry Meghan Markle — in person at least.
A White House official told CNN that neither President Trump nor his wife Melania will be at the May 19 wedding at St. George’s Chapel.
In addition to President Trump, no other elected U.S. officials got a royal invite in the mail either.
It’s unclear whether or not this has anything to do with Trump’s relationship to Prince Harry or his family, but a Kensington Palace spokesperson said, “It has been decided that an official list of political leaders – both UK and international – is not required for Prince Harry and Ms. Markle’s wedding.”

The couple confirmed their engagement in November 2017, and wedding plans were revealed in the weeks following.
A royal insider confirmed to E! News that Meghan has already chosen a designer for her wedding gown, adding that the former Suits star has enlisted the help of Canadian bridal stylist, and one of her best friends, Jessica Mulroney, to help her with the process of picking the right dress.
