It's been nearly 22 years since the royal family tragically lost Princess Diana in 1997, and Prince Harry talked about missing his mother a bit more this week after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, welcomed their first child, son Archie. Scroll through for all the details.

As OK! readers know, Diana was killed in a car accident in Paris, France, while her driver was attempting to flee from paparazzi, on August 31, 1997, at the young age of 36.

Harry, 34, who was just 12 years old when his mother died, talked about missing the late royal at such a special time in his life while in The Netherlands preparing for the 2020 Invictus Games on Thursday, May 9.

"He said missing a mother is like missing some kind of security, how you need that as a son and it falls away when you lose your mother," Dennis van der Stroon said of his conversation with the Duke, E! News reported.

The new father also "talked about how having a small child was his new focus and new goal," and "said he was just amazed by the miracles in the world, and how his child has made a lot of people happy."

Just a day before making his way to The Netherlands, Harry and Meghan, 37, officially introduced Archie to the world. He was born on Monday, May 6 at 5:26am.
