Prince William & Kate Middleton Officially Change Name Of Royal Charity After Splitting With Prince Harry & Meghan Markle

Prince William and Kate Middleton are parting ways with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — from their shared foundation that is. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge officially erased Harry and Meghan's names from their charity.

Meghan, 38, and Harry, 34, previously announced earlier this year that they will be splitting from the foursome's shared charity.

The organization was previously known as The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Now it will be renamed as The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Harry and Meghan decided to form their own foundation after ending the partnership with William, 37, and Kate, 37.

“The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex has today announced the conclusions of a review into its structure, and how it will best support Their Royal Highnesses with future charitable activity,”  Kensington Palace said in a statement on June 20.

The Palace continued, “Later this year The Royal Foundation will become the principal charitable and philanthropic vehicle for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will establish their own new charitable foundation with transitional operating support from The Royal Foundation.”
