The stunning gown fit Princess Eugenie like a glove. The garment featured a fitted bodice and full pleated skirt. It was designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, the designers who founded the British-owned label Peter Pilotto in London in 2007. The label is known for its extraordinary textile design, mixed with a modern, feminine silhouette.

The brunette apparently knew what she wanted from the very beginning. “As soon as we announced the wedding, I knew the designer, and the look, straight away. I never thought I’d be the one who knew exactly what I like, but I’ve been pretty on top of it," she told British Vogue.

The dress included a neckline that folded around the shoulders, and it had a low back that draped into a flowing, full-length train. In a pre-wedding interview with U.K.’s This Morning, the Princess hinted that her dress may show off her scar.

The low back feature on the dress was at the request of Eugenie, who had surgery at 12 years old to correct her scoliosis.

“I think you can change the way beauty is, and you can show people your scars and I think it’s really special to stand up for that,” she said.
