Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip celebrate 70 years of marriage today, and the royal pair have marked the amazing milestone by releasing four new portraits. In the stunning photos, taken by photographer Matt Holyoak of Camera Press, Queen Elizabeth, 91, and Prince Philip, 96, stand side by side in the royal family residence Windsor Castle. The royal family released this photo over the weekend. According to The Royal Family twitter, the Queen and the Prince stand between two 1781 portraits of George III and his wife Queen Charlotte by British painter Thomas Gainsborough. The couple was married for 57 years, 13 years shy of the Queen and Prince Philip’s record!
On Sunday, the Royal Family twitter released three additional portraits of the royal couple.
The portraits were taken in the White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle earlier this month.

When Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip married on November 20, 1947, at Westminster Abbey in London, she was still a princess and his official title was Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten.
Throughout their 70 years together, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have had four children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, plus one more on the way!
As they near age 100, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have finally been relinquishing some of their royal duties. In the fall, Prince Philip officially retired, and during England’s Remembrance Sunday earlier this month, the Queen handed over her wreath-laying role to her son, Prince Charles.
