Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield owes $300k in back taxes, and is desperate to get out of her massive debt! The reality TV star is currently suing her own insurance company, Central Mutual Insurance, for "declaratory judgment," according to RadarOnline.com.

According to Whitfield's complaint, she's claiming damages of her Chateau Sheree were unfairly appraised by the insurance company. She's asking for more than $279K and a jury trial.

Contractors on Sheree's home reportedly finished drywall and stopped working when the house was only 85 percent complete. Cold weather caused a water line fixture to freeze and break, sending water throughout the 2nd level of the home and spilling over into the basement, resulting in mold and decay, according to Whitfield's insurance claim.

Whitfield and the insurance company’s appraisers were unable to reach a determination on the amount of the loss, and Whitfield claims the "Umpire" hired for the appraisal “failed/refused” to evaluate fairly. “The Umpire wrongfully became involved throughout the appraisal process instead of dealing with only ‘differences’ as required by the policy,” the complaint read. “These acts resulted in an unfair conclusion to the appraisal as to the amount of the loss.”

The insurance company is fighting back, claiming the Umpire was "impartial" and the appraisal fair, and that they've already paid Whitfield more than $359K. In 2015, Sheree was hit with $27k lien for unpaid work on her home, and recently she was sued $10k for failing to pay a landscaping bill, saying she didn't have the money.
