A close friend, along with a recent business associated encouraged him to seek help ahead of the holidays, when people tend to binge.

Lamar was receptive to their advice, and agreed to enter treatment.

What's more, Lamar, whose divorce from Khloe Kardashian was just finalized, does not have any plans to leave rehab soon.

The insider claimed that Lamar would remain in rehab until January 2017. He previously received treatment following his near-fatal drug overdose in October 2015.
