During the November 17 episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Todd Tucker opened up of his decision to join his 23-year-old daughter at the strip club as she celebrated her birthday. His wife Kandi Burruss didn’t agree with his unconventional way of parental bonding and wasted no time confronting him about the outing.

While grabbing a meal, Kandi, 43, addressed their differences in parenting head on. “Well I was trying to give her money for her birthday,” she said of Kayla, who was planning to move to New York. “But you told me not to give it to her...Mr. I’m Up In The Strip Club With My Daughter.”

“Kandi, come on,” he responded. The episode then cut to a clip from Todd’s Instagram in which he addressed the backlash he received on social media. “My daughter is 23 years old so if she wants to go to a strip club, I rather she go with me.”

During that same clip, Todd also claimed that he used to hit up strip clubs with his mom when he was younger. "It’s in our genes," he told his Instagram followers before doling out some parental advice. “Taking your kid to the strip club is cool. It’s bonding. We throw some $1s together, smack a couple of booties. And she is able to see that ‘daddy is cool,’ and she’s able to have those good conversations with me. Exposure is key.”

When the cameras returned to Todd and Kandi, the Xscape singer looked visibly frustrated. “Sometimes I feel like people just wait for a reason or way to drag us,” Kandi told Todd.

“There’s nothing to drag about,” he shot back. “My message is this: My daughter is 23 years old, she’s grown and nowadays, your kids are on the phone so how do you even get through to them.”

In her confessional, Kandi seemed to be more affected by the strip club than she expressed to Todd. “Do I think it’s crazy that he goes out a drinks with his daughter at a strip club? Hmmm maybe,” she told the camera.
