Kenya Moore is mourning the loss of her grandmother, who passed away on Monday following a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. In an emotional Instagram post, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 46, revealed the devastating news and praised the woman who had “raised her from 3 days old.” Kenya, who recently married restaurateur Marc Daly in a secret ceremony, wrote that she “truly believed” her grandmother “waited until she knew that I finally found someone to love and cherish me the way she did.” “She approved and it was the happiest day of my life,” she wrote. “Today I lost the only woman in the world who has ever loved me unconditionally,” Kenya began. “Thank you Jehovah for sending me your Angel who taught me everything I know.”

“She has helped mold me into the woman I am,” Kenya continued. “She truly was my best friend.”

Although Kenya acknowledged that her grandmother had “finally lost her battle with Alzheimer’s disease,” she said, “her heart and spirit never failed her.”

Kenya then thanked her grandmother for “being the best woman I have met in my life.”
