Lisa Vanderpump’s place of business suffered a serious blow. The 59-year-old Vanderpump Rules star’s Los Angeles restaurant and bar Pump was damaged when a Porsche Turbo crashed into it on Sunday, January 6.
The sports car slammed into the patio seating area of the West Hollywood hotspot which faces the intersection on Santa Monica Boulevard and Robertson Boulevard.
The Bravo star shared the news on her Instagram account. “No. We are not a Drive-Thru. Thank God no one was hurt...,” the reality star captioned a harrowing picture of the sports car that careened into her restaurant. The vehicle was surrounded by shattered glass.
Lisa’s husband, Ken Todd, told E! News, “A Porsche Turbo slammed through Pump at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Robertson in West Hollywood just after 2 p.m. Sunday,” Todd, 62, added, “One girl slightly injured and taken to the hospital with cuts.”
Advocate Magazine reported that “a blue car had been stationary at the busy intersection of Santa Monica Blvd. and Robertson when the Ferrari attempted to veer out of its way as it came down Santa Monica, only to end up crashing into the patio of the famous restaurant.” According to Los Angeles-based NBC affiliate KNBC, the driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene and cooperated with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Pump is one of Lisa and Ken’s many dining establishments. In July 2019, a source close to the two restaurateurs told Us Weekly, “Lisa and Ken have owned over 35 establishments in over three decades.” The insider added, “With more hot establishments in London than you could shake a stick at.”
The crash came just two days before the season premiere of Lisa’s show Vanderpump Rules. In November 2019, a source told RadarOnline.com that the reality star had too much on her plate and had decided to retire from the Housewives franchise. “She was dealing with grief, filming Vanderpump Rules, opening a new restaurant TomTom and running the Vanderpump Dog Foundation,” the insider said at the time.
The source noted, “She was not equipped to handle Housewives, even before the drama happened.” The mother of two had ongoing beef with castmates Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards and was also dealing with the death of her brother Mark, who passed away in early 2019 from an alleged drug overdose.
