Braunwyn Windham-Burke and her mom, Dr. Deb, are at odds again! The Real Housewives of Orange County newbie opened up about their “complicated” relationship this season and during her October 22 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen she admitted they currently don’t get along.
Andy, 51, read a fan question that asked why Braunwyn, 41, and Dr. Deb recently unfollowed one another on social media. “We're working through some stuff," the RHOC newbie said, but would not go into further detail.
Braunwyn introduced her mom to her castmates on the August 13 episode during a dinner. The RHOC stars were huge fans! “I love Dr. Deb’s style. I love love it,” Shannon Beador said to producers.” Kelly Dodd said, “Dr. Deb has a great energy. You’re like ‘Wow, she’s interesting.’”
Tamra Judge, who’s getting very close, physically and emotionally, to Braunwyn wouldn’t stop raving about her mom. “I don’t know but I kind of want what she’s having,” she said. “After seeing Dr. Deb and her ability to not give a f**k, I’m thinking I want that! I’m gonna be Dr. Tamra when I get older; Dr. Tam.”
Things got tense between Braunwyn and her mom during the dinner after Dr. Deb asked for her ring back. The RHOC star said that the piece of jewelry was supposed to be a gift.
“My relationship with my mom is more complicated than she realizes. I do know though that parents and children often have very different recollections of things and that I’m only seeing things from my point of view,” Braunwyn said in a confessional. “I love my mom so much and really respect the fact that, as a single mom, she supported us and worked hard to become a doctor.”
Despite Braunwyn’s shade on WWHL, Dr. Deb shared videos on her Instagram Story of her babysitting Braunwyn and Sean’s younger children while the couple was in NYC. She seemingly only tagged Sean in the videos because she and her daughter unfollowed each other.
